Snugpak Softie Elite 5
At first glance a Softie Elite Series Bag appears to be just another quality sleeping bag from Snugpak®. With the EPS (Expanda Panel System) not deployed use it like you would any other sleeping bag.
In normal use the EPS works as a supper thick zip baffle creating an insulated barrier between the user and the zippers protecting from draughts. Two way zips allow for easy venting as needed.
Undo the internal retaining zip and open the baffle. The baffle when opened becomes a stretchy panel of insulated material.
The EPS allows between 5 to 10 inches of extra sleeping space at maximum expansion. Great for those who need a little extra room, prefer some extra moving room, or those that decided to stay an extra night and didn’t expect the temperature to take a drop and need to sleep with an extra layer of protected clothing.
Once completely unzipped the retaining zip then slides into the external zip and reseals the bag albeit wider.
After only a few moments the transformation is complete. Now with the EPS utilized the bag allows for a greater degree of space and movement.
