Camouflage Cargo Shorts
Army fatigue cargo shorts have been worn by
military personnel for nearly 80 years because of their functional
design and comfortability. Cargo pants were first worn by British
soldiers in the 1930s, and later were adopted by the U.S. forces
during World War I. They were designed with military multi-use
properties in mind, and later modified into shorts for wear in warm
climates.
Army Cargos
Army Cargo Shorts have grown in popularity for
use by the general public over recent years in support of our
military troops or simply because of the versatility they offer to
active outdoorsmen. Fatigue cargo shorts were traditionally made of
sturdy green cotton twill, with a loose fit for easy maneuvering,
and side pockets and large loops for holding gear. They are
considered a casual form of wear by many civilians as well as
fatigues for enlisted military personnel.
Styles
Today, khaki and Camouflage Cargo Shorts are
seen on those participating in many outdoor adventures and sports.
They have gained in popularity with both men and women because of
their causal comfort. Cargo pants especially saw an increase in
popularity in the 1990s, and due to their ease of wear and
multipurpose use, they remain in style today. Army cargos can be
purchased in solid colors or different camouflage color
combinations from tan to navy, brown, green, and black.
