In fact, a good binding must only allows boots to pivot on the master cord. This means that the front of the boot can freely enter the toe-hole of the snowshoe without obstruction while walking.
Furthermore, it controls all movements of the boot : - Vertically. (To prevent foot from lifting in the binding); - Horizontally. (Good lateral control is necessary so the heel does not touch the snowshoe frame); - Forward and backward sliding. (To avoid allowing the foot to slip forward and backward in the binding).
Please note bindings are sold in pairs only.
